So check it - I’ve been asked to play a couple of really cool shows this month! On Thursday, March 25th, I’ll be performing my cover of the classic 90’s hit, “Say My Name” by Destiny’s Child at the monthly comedy show, “Four Stories and a Cover” at the UCB Theatre in LA. And then, on Sunday March 28th, I’ll be playing a short set at the Songwriter’s Sundays at Hotel Cafe in Hollywood. Both shows are going to be tons o’ fun, so stop by if you’re in the Los Angeles area! Head on over to the shows page for all the details.

i know i always post such exuberant blogs, just chock full of hearty whole grain good news, but sometimes i just get homesick. i miss the east coast and the mighty state of new york so much it hurts. ow. i head home on monday for the holidays (including a show at my old favorite acoustic joint in the city, rockwood music hall) and i couldn’t be more excited. my neice is now in kindergarten (what?!) and my nephew is more apt with a laptop at 3 years of age than most. being away from my family is what hurts the most, and i can’t wait to see their beautiful, rosy-cheeked faces. that’s right, it snows in ny. winter has always been my favorite season since i can remember, and the 8 days of rain a year out here in la just ain’t cutting it for me. i know, waah, poor me, how awful to just live in sunshine, but i’m just a cold-weather kind of gal. so look out slushy roads and freezing rain - i’m coming home!!!

anyhoozle, as a wave of homesickness was passing through, i decided to share it with you. do you live far away from your family and the people that you love? what’s it like for you?

This past year has yielded so much for me, and some of the most exciting stuff that happened was the creation of not one but TWO amazing music videos. The first video for “No One In The World” was made by brilliant young director Kurt Nishimura out of Portland, OR. The second video, made for “Another Day” which I wrote for the short independent film “Broken,” was directed by visionary Edber Mamisao. Please enjoy! As some of you know, I’ve been nominated in two categories at this year’s LA Music Awards ! Just being nominated is an honor - and I have the fancy plaques to prove it - but I could use your help winning the coveted awards.

The voting will be held at the legendary Whisky A Go Go on legendary Sunset Strip in legendary West Hollywood. It’s going to be…you guessed it…legendary.

THURS OCT 8TH - Whisky A Go Go - 8901 W. Sunset Blvd., West Hollywood, CA - 21+, $10, doors 6pm
